Reply: The types of Postal Life Insurance policies are:    

  • Whole Life Assurance (SURAKSHA)
  • Convertible Whole Life Assurance (SUVIDHA)
  •  Endowment Assurance (SANTOSH)
  • Anticipated Endowment Assurance for 15 and 20 Years (SUMANGAL)
  • Joint Life Endowment Assurance (YUGAL SURAKSHA)
  • Children Policy (BAL JIWAN BIMA)

Question:     What is the minimum and maximum sum assured limit under PLI?
Reply:  Minimum ₹ 20,000 and maximum ₹ 50 lakhs for all plans except children policy. For Children Policy, maximum sum assured limit is ₹ 3 lakh.

Reply:
The types of Rural Postal Life Insurance Policies Are:

  1. Whole Life Assurance (GRAM SURAKSHA)
  2. Convertible Whole Life Assurance (GRAM SUVIDHA)                 
  3. Endowment Assurance (GRAM SANTOSH)                      
  4. Anticipated Endowment Assurance (GRAM SUMANGAL)        
  5. GRAM PRIYA   (10 years RPLI)

Question:     What is the minimum and maximum sum assured limit under RPLI?
Reply: Minimum ₹ 10,000 and maximum ₹ 10 lakhs for all the plans except children policy. For Children Policy maximum sum assured limit is ₹. 1 lakh.

Question:     Where should I submit claim on a policy?
Reply:    Insurant can submit his claim application with required documents in the nearest Post Office and get the payment through the Post Office of his/her choice after sanction by the competent authority.

Question:     Who can take a Children’s Policy?
Reply:     Any PLI/RPLI policy holder who is below the age of 45 years having children between 5 years and 20 years. Maximum two children in family are eligible to take children policy.
